Blog Two -75 Hard Part 1
75 Hard!
In October a client mentioned they were going to take on the 75 Hard Challenge created by Andy Frisella.
What is the challenge?
I looked at the challenge. Damn, I knew it would be intense.
I already had a very challenging daily process that I was following, I had been sober for nearly a year and was working out 2-3 times per day. I was getting up at 3:30 AM everyday, I had a consistent diet which had put me in the best shape of my life so far. Although my workout did not have a set time like the above rules of 45minutes each. I did not feel drawn into completing the 75 hard - my daily life was already “hard”. I knew this challenge was going to be ridiculous.
My client mentioned 75 hard again, but had not started on their intended start date. “F*ck it! lets do this!” I said on a zoom call on October 17th 2022. I stepped into the challenge.
75 Hard Day 1
So, October 17th the challenge began.
After the first couple of weeks, the two daily 45 minute workouts were brutal. If I didn’t complete the first workout before 9:00 AM things started to feel very overwhelming.
I learnt my lesson very quickly about getting the first workout done as early as possible.
The next biggest challenge I faced was the reading. I would often put this off until the end of the day… 11:00 PM or later at times. 10 pages does not seem like a lot, but with continuing to push the limits in all areas this task also became very confronting.
To be continued…
